Yearbook cover

The yearbook cover to the left is my version of what this years yearbook would look like. The theme of the book would be the performance. We would treat the book as if it is a review of a performance. The cover features spotlights shining up towards the title " Lakeshore Collegiate Institute". The trimmed edges provides a more postcard look. The title of the yearbook would be " The performance", simply because we would treat every section as exactly that... a performance. The colours I chose are blue and black, blue because that is one of the school colours and black because it helps make the blue stand out. It's a simple yet effective cover to produce anticipation.

The back of the book carries on the theme of blue and the theme of performance. The text reads " Where were you when we performed?"The technique I used is almost like they're credits. I like the way the columns draws the eye to the text. I used that particular text because I thought it invoked a sense of pride. After flipping through the yearbook and seeing the pictures of your friends and events, you're asked one simple question. And the answer is here, you were there when the greatest moments were made, you were there when limits were pushed, when as a school we helped, made a difference... you were there!
the theme of music is incorporated with the equalizers.
The theme of music can be carried out through the book. The table of contents can be the years line up if "performances" with a mic as bullet points, and music notes as guides to the page numbers.
The sections would have to be reorganized, with the grade 9's named "the cover performance" we could have music quotes along the bottom of the pages.
Events could be named as if they were performances. The theme of music is a very adaptable one, I believe that we would be able to incorporate different symbols within the book.
